Progress for Bakken Area Skills Center

Bismarck Bucks Training Camp

The Bismarck Bucks football team will begin their training this year starting February 24 at the Rough Rider Center. While here there will also be a Young Bucks Training Camp for kids ages 5-15 on February 27, as well as a scrimmage on March 4.

Additional 1,000 students projected for school district

  Enrollment for McKenzie County Public School District #1 is projected to increase 1,000 students within the next decade. Progress continues in getting Highway 85 4 laned from the Watford City bypass to the Long X Bridge near Theodore Roosevelt National Park. At 83,000 head, McKenzie County is one of the top four North Dakota counties in number of “all cattle/calves” inventory according to 2021 data released by the USDA.
